Sensational Santana’s No-Hitter
After 50 years of waiting, Johan Santana tossed the first no-hitter in New York Mets history on June 1, 2012. The fact that it came against the defending World Series champion St. Louis Cardinals made it all the more special. “I never had it in my mind that I would throw a no-hitter, never,” Santana said after the game. “They’re the world champs. … To talk about a no-hitter coming into this game? No way.” Take a look through the gallery to re-live one of the most memorable nights in Mets history.
