ALL-STAR REGULAR
Date: 2005-2007
In his Hall of Fame career, Carlos Beltrán was named an All-Star nine times, five of which came with the Mets. Like most big games, Beltrán came up big – he had at least one hit in all four games in which he participated as a Met and sported a career .389 average in the Mid-Summer Classic. Beltrán was elected a starter in 2005 in Detroit (along with Mike Piazza), 2006 in Pittsburgh (along with David Wright and José Reyes) and 2007 in San Francisco (with Wright and Reyes). Beltrán was again elected in 2009, but was unable to play and then returned to the game in 2011 in Phoenix as a starter with Reyes (not pictured).
