Welcome to Shea: 1964 Mets Yearbook

The Mets hoped to make the rest of the league welcome — but not too welcome — at the newly opened Shea Stadium in 1964. The team went 53-109 that season, their best season to date and a 13-game improvement from the inaugural year. Fortunately, the win total would improve as the decade carried on.
