Tom Seaver Gets More Terrific in 1970

After winning the Cy Young Award and a World Series title in 1969, Tom Seaver proved his status as one of the best hurlers in the game the following season. In 1970, Seaver led the league in ERA (2.82) and strikeouts (283). He would repeat as best in MLB for ERA twice more and best in NL for strikeouts four more times during his Mets tenure.
