Teammate Darryl

Darryl Strawberry and the 1980s Mets were known as a tight-knit clubhouse. When asked in 2022 who his favorite teammate was, Strawberry said Gary Carter. “I admire Carter more than I admired anybody in baseball because of the way he lived his life. He was just an incredible man, he lived faithfully and never condemned anybody or pointed his finger at anybody.”
