SLUGGER STRAWBERRY METS HALL OF FAME PLAQUE
The first overall draft pick in 1980, Darryl Strawberry began his career with the Mets in grand fashion by winning the 1983 NL Rookie of the Year award. He was a 7-time All-Star between 1984 and 1990 and an important member of the 1986 World Series team. In 1987, Strawberry became a member of the 30-30 club — hitting at least 30 home runs and stealing 30 bases in the same season. Only 14 players had done so before him.
