Rookie Rod Gaspar appeared in 118 games for the Mets in 1969, plus six in the postseason. Gaspar’s rise to the Big Leagues was so quick that Topps likely didn’t have time to get a 1969 card printed for him. It didn’t slow the rookie down, though. In Game 4 of the World Series Gaspar scored the winning run in Shea Stadium.
