Lindsay Nelson joined the Mets broadcasting team in 1962 and called games through 17 seasons alongside Ralph Kiner and Bob Murphy. Beloved by Mets fans, his contributions to the game as a whole were recognized in 1988 when he earned the Ford C. Frick Award from the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
