Four Aces

Bob Ojeda came to the Mets in 1986 after a trade with Boston. He joined a stable of young arms that included reigning Cy Young Award winner Dwight Gooden, 1985 All-Star Ron Darling and Sid Fernandez, who was named an All-Star that season. All four aces won at least 15 games — including 17 victories from Doc — as the Mets went on to defeat the Red Sox in the World Series.
