Flying Squirrel Takes Off

Mets sparkplug Jeff McNeil burst onto the scene in 2018 and 2019 with spectacular diving catches, even some leaping over walls and into the stands. In 2021, the Mets Single-A affiliate in Port St. Lucie honored McNeil’s acrobatics with this flying squirrel bobblehead. McNeil earned the squirrel nickname at Long Beach State University as he flew around making catches.
