Perhaps no manager made a bigger mark on New York City baseball than Casey Stengel. The Hall of Famer skippered three Big Apple clubs, including the Brooklyn Dodgers, New York Yankees and New York Mets. His Yankees tenure from 1949 to 1960 was one of the best in MLB history, where Stengel led the Bronx Bombers to seven World Series titles and 10 AL pennants. He brought that wealth of experience to the expansion Mets in 1962.
