Yankee Stadium Inaugural Season Baseball

New York City’s baseball clubs opened the 2009 season with brand-new ballparks: Citi Field and Yankee Stadium. Like the Mets, the New York Yankees issued commemorative baseballs to celebrate their new home. The Mets were visitors to the Bronx in a June series. They dropped two and won one game against their in-town rivals.
