Ushered In: Polo Grounds Ushers Jacket
Date: 1962-1963
When the expansion Mets first took the field in 1962, they played home games at the historic Polo Grounds. The ballpark was home of the New York Giants for nearly 70 years before their West Coast relocation in 1958. Mets ushers walked the Polo Grounds aisles for just two seasons until Shea Stadium opened in 1964.
