Shea’s Skyline, Forever Changed

Shea Stadium was always known for the lighted New York City model skyline that crowned the jumbotron in right-center field. On the night of September 21, 2001, the skyline featured a red, white and blue ribbon over the World Trade Center towers, which were still smoldering about 12 miles away.
