The Clutch Catch: Endy Chavez Bobblehead
Date: 2007
Mets outfielders have a long history of making incredible catches, and Endy Chavez joined their ranks in Game 7 of the 2006 NLCS. The speedy center fielder leapt against the Shea Stadium left field wall to rob St. Louis Cardinal Scott Rolen of a home run. Chavez got the ball back into the infield to throw out a baserunner at first for an inning-ending double play. The Mets ultimately lost the NLCS, but they commemorated Chavez with this bobblehead in the following season. You can check out a silhouette of Chavez’s leap at the left field entrance in Citi Field.
