Take a Seat: Polo Grounds Stadium Seats
Date: 1962-1963
The Mets called the Polo Grounds home during the team’s first two seasons in 1962 and 1963, when these stadium seats may have been used. While the Polo Grounds were primarily known as the home of the New York Giants, the historic stadium was at one time also the home of the New York Yankees (1913-1922) as well as the New York football Giants (1925-1955). In 1960 it became the first home of the New York Titans of the new American Football League who shared the stadium with the Mets in 1962 and 1963. In 1963, the Titans took on a new name, the New York Jets.
