It was great to be a Mets fan on August 9, 2019. Marcus Stroman made his Citi Field debut, during which he tossed this pitch to Washington Nationals hitter Matt Adams for a foul ball in the 2nd inning. Plus, Pete Alonso went deep for home run no. 38 and the Mets walked it off on a Michael Conforto single, picking up the team’s seventh-straight win. Baseball at its best.
