Jerry Koosman’s Outstanding 1976

Jerry Koosman was a regular in the Mets rotation between 1968 and 1978. The lefty had his winningest season in 1976, posting a 21-10 record and finishing as the runner-up in Cy Young voting. The New York Daily News called it Koosman’s greatest season, and the pitcher summarized: “All I can say is this has been the most exciting year of my life. I hope I can repeat it.”
