Shea Dressed in Red, White and Blue

Prior to the game against the Atlanta Braves, the first major sporting event in New York since the World Trade Center attack, the Mets hung a gigantic American flag outside Shea Stadium. The huge flag gave approaching fans a preview of the patriotic night to come.
