LE GRAND ORANGE
Rusty Staub played nine of his 23 MLB seasons with the Mets, earning a special place in team history both as a fearsome slugger and a long-time community fixture. Staub was a Mets television broadcaster for nine years, operated two restaurants in the New York area and wrote a children’s book featuring Mr. Met. Staub was also a tireless advocate for many charities, most notably the New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund.
