Tom Seaver was sharp during a 9-1 win over the Atlanta Braves in the first game of a doubleheader on the road. Longtime Mets employee Matt Winick noted in a scorebook the 17 Mets hits on the day to back Seaver’s outing. The total tied for second-most hits in a game during the 1967 season.
