Emerson Banner Day: Mets Legacy at Shea

Since the expansion Mets debuted in 1962, the team has created traditions as storied as those of any ballclub. Fans recognized the Mets culture at Shea Stadium during an Emerson Banner Day event in 1988. A tradition of winning continued that season, as the Mets finished with 100 wins and an appearance in the NLCS.
