deGrom and Tom: Jacob deGrom Jersey

Jacob deGrom made his final five starts of the 2020 season wearing a no. 41 patch in honor of Tom Seaver along with the rest of his Mets teammates. During that stretch, deGrom posted a 2-1 record and struck out an impressive 46 batters. deGrom has been compared to Seaver throughout his career, which he addressed shortly before Seaver’s passing, “It’s an honor to be compared to somebody like Tom and what he was able to accomplish in his career … but I think he’s probably got me beat.”
