Mets Honor Tom Seaver With No. 41 Patch

After the passing of Tom Seaver on August 31, 2020, the Mets honored The Franchise’s memory with digital tributes, a pre-game ceremony and by wearing this no. 41 sleeve patch for the rest of the season. It was the first time Seaver’s no. 41 had appeared on a Mets jersey since 1988 when it fittingly became the first number retired in franchise history.
