CLOSING OUT A HISTORIC GAME
Date: March 28, 2019
The Mets won on Opening Day 2019, a 2-0 victory over the Washington Nationals on the road. More importantly, the game was Pete Alonso’s MLB debut, starting off one of the most historic seasons for a player in Mets, and MLB, history. Edwin Diaz tossed this baseball to Nationals slugger Juan Soto in the bottom of the 9th on his way to closing out the historic game.
