Art Shamsky and the Mets swiftly handled the Atlanta Braves in the 1969 NLCS. Shamksy knew how to swing a bat, racking up 3 hits each in Games 1 and 2. (Did he swing this bat in the NLCS? We don’t know, but we like to imagine that he did!) Over the course of the three-game sweep, he hit a remarkable .538.
