Attending since the inaugural season of 1962 and broadcasting since 1987, Rose is one of the living embodiments of Mets baseball. “A lot of fans over the years have said to me, ‘You are to this generation of Met fans what Bob Murphy was to yours.’ I tear up when I hear that,” Rose said.
