Winning the Sweepstakes: 1969 Pennant
The Mets needed just one outing at Shea Stadium to sweep the 1969 NLCS. In Game 3, the home crowd was treated to home runs from Tommie Agee, Wayne Garrett and Ken Boswell as the Mets defeated the Atlanta Braves, 7-4. With the series win, the Mets earned their first pennant in franchise history.
