Tommie Agee played his final season as a Met in 1972. He led the team in hits (96) and was second in home runs, RBIs and stolen bases.

After a Game 1 victory in the 1969 NLCS, the Mets were ready to repeat in the second game of the series. Tommie Agee, Cleon Jones and Ken Boswell each sent one over the fences, helping the Mets to an 11-6 win over the Atlanta Braves on the road.
