The Mets easily handled the Atlanta Braves in Game 2 of the 1969 NLCS with a 11-6 victory on the road. New York Post reporter Maury Allen squeezed the names of six Braves pitchers into the Atlanta roster as the battery tried to stop the offensive outburst by the Mets.
