We Like Ike

Ike Davis burst onto the scene with a 19-home run, 71-RBI rookie season in 2010. He was on his way to a stellar 2011 season, hitting .302 with a .925 OPS before a season ending injury in May. That included Davis hitting a home run in three straight games in April. This bat is from that 2011 season. Davis recovered from his injury and hit 32 home runs in 2012 while driving in 90 runs. That season saw Davis become the ninth Met to hit three home runs in a game on July 28 in Arizona. The Mets traded Davis to Oakland in 2014 but when asked after his career by Jay Horwitz if he had any regrets, Ike said he “wouldn’t change a thing.”
