Despite the downpour, the Mets were fired up greeting Pete Alonso at the plate. The star sophomore smacked a walk-off, two-run homer in the 10th inning to win the game over the New York Yankees. It was one of Alonso’s 16 home runs in 2020, leading the team in homers for the second-straight season.
