Run Roger Run!
Date: Unknown
Roger Cedeno was a bench player in four seasons with the Dodgers before coming to the Mets in 1999 in the Todd Hundley trade. In his first season as a regular player, Cedeno showed the Mets he was worth the investment as he hit .313 with a .396 On-Base Percentage and stole 66 bases to set a Mets record that stood for nearly a decade. “I’m the kind of person who thinks everything happens for a good reason. The past I left is in the past. I want to go forward, not look back. What happened, happened.” Cedeno was traded to Houston after that one season but returned in 2002 for two seasons, the era of this uniform.
