Al Leiter hugged Mike Piazza following a 7-0 Game 5 victory in the 2000 NLCS, giving the Mets the series win over the St. Louis Cardinals. Piazza led the team with 2 home runs in the five-game series. It was New York’s first pennant since 1986.
