Piazza “Got It”

Mike Piazza won over an entire nation when he smashed the game-winning home run against the Atlanta Braves. As soon as the ball cleared the center field wall, it seemed inevitable that the Hall of Fame catcher would do a curtain call, which he did. The images surrounding Piazza’s home run continue to stir emotions. Nearly 20 years later, popular sports radio host Rich Eisen tearfully remembered Piazza and the go-ahead home run by saying, “God bless that guy, God bless us, and God bless America.”
