- MR. MET-THEMED KITCHENWARE
Late 1960s interior decorating was no stranger to bright colors. Vinyl wallpaper patterned with pink and federal gold or a bright green lattice design graced the walls of many homes. Thick piled shag lined bathroom floors and fixtures. A Mets’ logo-emblazoned fabric for fashioning curtains, placemats or napkins fit right into the bright-colored casual aesthetic. Americans loved comfort, color and bohemian playfulness in their homes in the late 1960s. So, a Mets potholder? Groovy, man. That’s the life.
