METS TURN PAGE FOR FIRST POSTSEASON RUN
Date: October 4, 1969
New York Post reporter Maury Allen followed along for the first postseason game in Mets history, a 9-5 win over the Atlanta Braves on the road in Game 1 of the NLCS. Allen scribbled “Playoffs Game” along the Mets roster, and noted that Tom Seaver was the winning pitcher.
