Leiter Supports First Responders

In the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Al Leiter and the rest of the Mets wore ballcaps with logos of New York’s first responders, including those of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. The Port Authority Police Department lost 37 officers on 9/11 among 84 PA employees that day, a number that still grows with 9/11-related illnesses.
