Facing a tough Philadelphia Phillies team in May 1976, the Mets pulled one out in the 9th as Wayne Garrett and Roy Stager had extra-base RBI hits off the Phillies closer (and former Met) Tug McGraw. The Mets went on to win, 5-2.
