Jerry Koosman’s Winning Rookie Season

Although he made several appearances the year prior, Jerry Koosman played his full rookie season in 1968. Kooz earned his first career win in his first start on April 11, a 4-0 complete-game shutout against the LA Dodgers on the road. He would finish the season 19-12 and second in NL Rookie of the Year voting.
