Highlighting Gil Hodges: Jersey
Date: 1962
Gil Hodges was a New York City baseball staple, spending a dozen seasons as a Brooklyn Dodger (plus four in Los Angeles when the team relocated). He finished his playing career as a New York Met during the expansion club’s first two seasons. Although he played only 54 games in 1962, Hodges was sixth on the team for home runs (9). He would become manager in 1968.
