Keith Hernandez Harkens Back to Co-MVP

Before Keith Hernandez was traded to the Mets in 1983, he had a successful stint with the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1979, Hernandez shared league MVP honors with Pittsburgh Pirate Willie Stargell. The accolades continued in New York, as Hernandez made three All-Star appearances and earned six Gold Gloves, a Silver Slugger and another World Series title.
