Doc Gooden was a Mets ace for 11 seasons. He broke out in 1984 as NL Rookie of the Year and earned the NL Cy Young Award the following season. As a Met, Gooden was a 4-time All-Star, twice the MLB strikeout leader and a 1986 World Series champion.
