Grab a cold one and settle in for this instant classic. The first 7 or so innings are kinda hard to watch, but hang in there for the 8th. After the top of the 8th inning, the Mets were losing to the first-place Braves by a score of 8-1. To most of the 52,831 fans at Shea Stadium, the game seemed out of New York’s reach. Boy were they wrong.
