Mets Fans Support Team in 1973 NLCS

During the 1973 NLCS, the Mets took care of business on the field, while fans did the same in the stands. Mets rooters supported their underdog team with encouraging banners in the ballpark. Those messages may have been inspiration for the Mets as they defeated Cincinnati Reds pitcher Jack Billingham in Game 5 to clinch the NL pennant.
