Jeurys Familia made franchise history by setting down the Miami Marlins in order to preserve a 5-2 Mets win at Citi Field. It was Familia’s 44^th save of the season, breaking a record set by Armando Benitez in 2001 and matched by Familia in 2015. Familia was wearing this jersey and used this ball to induce Hall of Famer Ichiro Suzuki to ground out in the 9th inning.
