Donn Clendenon’s Battered Game-Used Bat
Date: 1960s–1970s
Donn Clendenon went heavy on the pine tar to get a good grip on his bats. You can almost smell the tar on this one! We don’t know if the pine tar was responsible for key hits during the 1969 postseason, but it sure didn’t hurt. Clendenon hit 3 homers in the Fall Classic and was named World Series MVP.
