BUD HARRELSON IN BRONZE
Date: Inducted 1986
Bud Harrelson played shortstop for the Mets from 1965 to 1977 and returned as a coach in 1986. In 1990, he replaced Davey Johnson as manager of the team. Harrelson is the only Met to have been a member of both of the franchise’s world championship teams. His outstanding defense in the 1969 World Series was one of the keys to the Miracle Mets’ victory.
