Bob Murphy and Ralph Kiner Bobbleheads

“The sun is shining, the sky is blue, it’s a beautiful day for baseball!” Can you hear longtime Mets broadcaster Bob Murphy’s voice in your head? Murphy’s enthusiasm and affection along with his partner Ralph Kiner’s charm and sense of the game during the ups and downs of Mets seasons endeared them to generations of fans. Both announcers joined the Mets in 1962 for the inaugural season and this dual bobblehead celebrated their more than four decades together calling Mets games. More than 30,000 fans took home one of these commemorative treasures in 2003, Murphy’s final season before retirement. Kiner kept at it until 2013, capping a career in professional baseball that lasted more than 70 years. Both men are enshrined at Cooperstown, which is noted on each side of the bobblehead.
