Tommie Agee Mets Hall of Fame Plaque
As the Mets assembled the team that would finally compete after years of frustrated hopes, Tommie Agee provided the power bat that the team was lacking. He came to New York in a 1968 trade to provide the offensive lift the Mets needed. Agee’s defense and offense helped the team cement the victory in the 1969 World Series. Agee spent three more seasons with the Mets and retired in 1973.
